Horsforth Choral Society is an enthusiastic and friendly mixed-voice choir of around 60 singers based in Horsforth, Leeds bringing classical choral music to our community. Founded in 1928, we are proud to be one of the few non-auditioning choral societies in our region and we offer a warm welcome to everyone who wants to sing with us.
We usually perform four concerts a year:
- Autumn concert: one or more classical choral pieces.
- Christmas concert: popular ‘Carols and Brass’ concert with brass ensemble.
- Spring concert: one or more classical choral pieces
- Summer concert: usually a more informal event. At our 2025 Summer concert we performed folk songs and madrigals.
We meet to rehearse on Mondays in school term times at 7.30pm in the Parish Centre of St Margaret’s Church, Horsforth.
We are passionately committed to inspiring and enlightening audiences with both traditional and less familiar repertoire.
